Nice end

Very well done.

A couple of things I was hoping for:
- Jesus to tear apart one of those Mag Agents the way he tore apart various peons. The power that he held was just ridiculous and it would've looked awesomely gory.
- A more thorough animation of the madness world tearing apart. We know the world was corrupted by the Improbability Device, but it would've been cool if things had transformed back to normalicy, including Tricky, Jesus, Hank and all the agents/peons returning to their original forms.

Anyway, Enjoyed it heaps, Those were just ideas that I was hoping for. Move your talents to bigger and greater things, Krinkels. Madness is complete.

Swaintacular

Ah, Swain. You have a way with line delivery that makes the humour so much better. You're one of the better voice actors to show his talent through flash for sure. The humour was simple, but it was good. No complaints to be found anywhere.

Outstanding Australian work

Beautiful work, Adam. You really make me proud to be an Australian. Thankyou, thankyou, THANKYOU for referring to them as "Waterlollies" and not "Watercandies". I was so happy when I found out that you were referring to fattening treats with "waterlollies".

The music was great, and I was certainly surprised to read that Nathan McCree did the Tomb Raider music. As much as I love the music from those games, you can tell Nathan's come along quite a bit. I hope he continues to do the music for your series.

Amazingly drawn and sequenced

I'm amazed at your attention to detail. You took a few shortcuts with the 3D sections, however I don't blame you given how difficult that would be to detail for only a microsecond of on-screen visuals. You made the characters beautiful and minimalistically detailed. Your choice of music was gorgeous, I'm a fan of bond, but I've never actually heard any other songs by them apart from what was played at Athens 2004.

Well, I was entertained, loved it and admire your story-telling and artwork. I don't think you could ask for much more.

Pleasing and finally a decent length.

After most previous Blockhead episodes fell in at a short length, it was pleasing to see that you took your time to make a reasonably long episode without sacrificing the quality or humour. I love the blockhead series and enjoyed the game. It's clear you've learned a lot about flash animation since Blockhead 8.

I would be very pleased if you continued the series. Your sense of humour is still great to watch. Keep experimenting and keep Blockhead as random and stupidly funny as ever. I'll keep watching.

On a side note. I was pleased to see you put some of the music from the game in the episode as background music. Those tracks were good and made the animation seem somewhat more professional and enjoyable.

The-Swain responds:

I tweaked the background music to fit with the cartoon a bit more. Mostly this involved changing instruments and lightening some of the more obnoxious themes, but they were essentially game songs. Thanks for noticing :D

Nothing compares to Krinkels and Hodges

Simply outstanding. I've been anticipating this for a long time and you've completely blown me away again.

You, Krinkels, single-handedly have the most imaginative mind I've ever witnessed. Your art is constantly improving and you hold nothing back in these Madness animations. The smoothness of the animation in this episode was outstanding. I was questioning how you were going to animate the Icon of Sin with the liquid flames, but you pulled it off really well.

The animation is littered with sadistic and ritualistic artworks. Bodies pinned to the wall, subliminal messaging. People with bolts embedded in their heads. The giant crossface man was a nice addition as well.

Moving onto the sound design. I believe Sean Hodges has outdone himself again with the music in this episode. He's moved beyond the simple drum'n'bass style that we've heard in past episodes. The music is reminiscent to Madness antipathy but has evolved to become very enjoyable background music. I hope Hodges continues to release his work to the public and spreads his talent.

Well done, I look forward to Madness 8 (I'm assuming there will be an 8 to explain who the silhouette man is.) I can only hope that you continue to pour your frustrations and anger into this artwork, because the result is nothing short of amazing.

Hotdogs are great

biohazard, generally what I get from this is that the clown is just a representation of what one would consider "Godmode" in this game of madness. The fact that it's labelled The Icon of sin and that the Clown ends up looking like that at the end tends to support the theory that he's the evil lord of this whole thing and controls everything that happen.

Tell me, if you had all the power in a game of madness, what would you do? You'd fuck around of course. You'd keep a good fighter alive so that you could play with him and enjoy the carnage that he brings. And why wouldn't he buy a hotdog? Hotdogs are great.

By the way, 5 for this flash, 10 for the review score. Looking forward to the finale.

Best of the lot

After viewing all things to do with Blockhead, I've decided that this is my favourite episode. It best sums up what I love about both Blockhead and his conscience. From his reaction to "Field Trip", to his attempting to eat the hat off the woman's head (I love the way that was animated) and his conscience just going "No, don't do that... don't..."

This part was great:
Cop: "I'll shoot everyone here"
Conscience: "Please, yes!"

And the way Blockhead was flipping out at the end of the episode, and his conscience is just "Oh yeah, right."

Great series, Great episode. You've brought a little sunshine into my life at the expense of Blockhead's conscience and a lady's hat.

Cute little homage

Enjoyed the song a great deal. The animation was pretty smooth for pixel art. Not a lot happened, but it worked as a general music video for the song. I'm not very happy with the computer person inside my computer right now. But maybe he's just angry at me for not showing him any love.

Anyway, good flash. Make some more!
